HOSHIARPUR: Sikh Youth of Punjab along with other youth groups took out a motor cycle rally to express solidarity with jailed farmers and activists including Disha Ravi and Nodeep Kaur in Hoshiarpur.
They criticized the Narendra Modi government for adopting “stubborn and hawkish” attitude on farmers demand to repeal all three contentious farm laws.
The groups urged the farmers unions to stand like a rock behind those who have been arrested and those who are on run as they all participated in the Tractor March on January 26 on their call.

How will you describe the challenges facing the people of Imeko-Afon in terms of herdsmen and farmers’ crisis?
The challenges can be said to be economically and emotionally devastating although the Yoruba- Fulani clashes have been on for ages and the same can be said of Imeko; I can remember when I was a child when we went to the farm, we got to the farm to see cattle eating our cassava and other crops, but it wasn’t like this, it was not as rampant as we have it now.

Strengthening Community Resilience against Disaster through the School Safety Initiative (SCRSSI) project in Kurigram District Bangladesh, a place affected badly by multiple hazards such as flooding, drought, thunderstorms, earthquakes, river erosion and flash floods.
