DELAWARE COUNTY, PA Delaware County officials Wednesday move forward with creating a new oversight board for the Juvenile Detention Center in the aftermath of the closure of the facility in Lima.
Built on the successful model of the Jail Oversight Board, which oversees the George W. Hill Correctional Facility, the new 10-member Delaware County Board of Managers of Juvenile Detention will consist of three members of Council, the County Controller, and six members of the public.
Three members of the public will be appointed by the Council Chair and three by the President Judge of Delaware County s Court of Common Pleas.

SUFFOLK, Va. - Suffolk Police have arrested a teen following a carjacking and subsequent vehicle pursuit that took place Tuesday morning.
Officials were called at 10:28 a.m. for a report that a person stole a vehicle at gunpoint in the 400 block of Bank Street. Police say there were no injuries.
A witness was able to provide a vehicle and subject description to police and a pursuit ensued.
The pursuit eventually ended on Interstate 64 in Chesapeake near the Military Highway exit. After stopping the vehicle, a teen attempted to run from the police and was quickly apprehended. According to officials, a gun was also recovered.

Solano County to invest $38M into energy infrastructure
FAIRFIELD Solano County supervisors are banking on energy cost savings to pay for most of the $38.08 million in new and upgraded power infrastructure they recently approved.
Megan Greve, director of county General Services, said in an interview Friday that the county pays about $3 million a year in utility costs. That is the entire county and not just the project sites.
Sheriff: Teen arrested for selling cocaine, fentanyl-laced pills through Snapchat

CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Oregon (KPTV) A teenager was arrested during a recent drug bust by the Clackamas County Inter-agency Task Force, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators with the task force checked social media earlier this month for any illegal drug activity. The sheriff’s office says the task force has been seeing an increase in dealers freely advertising drugs for sale on social media platforms including Snapchat.
The sheriff’s office said investigators posing as potential buyers quickly found someone selling counterfeit M30 pills, which are pressed oxycodone pills laced with potentially lethal amounts of other substances, including fentanyl.
