Auckland transport package doesn t add up, urbanists claim 13 Mar, 2021 04:00 PM 5 minutes to read RNZ There are fundamental flaws in the multi-billion dollar Auckland Transport Alignment Project 2021-31 package s emissions ambitions, and some of the claims made for it don t add up, say climate and transports groups. Urbanist advocacy group Greater Auckland promotes good city planning and says the project, known as ATAP, fails to meet the council s own emissions targets. Yesterday a $31 billion investment in the plan was announced for Auckland- Tāmaki Makaurau, with the aim to reduce emissions to help the city meet the challenges of climate change.

Photo / Gregor Richadson Otago Daily Times By: Wyatt Rider She has survived five heart attacks and went to Hawaii when she was 98, but she was not that keen on being interviewed for her local paper. Margaret Cotton turned 100 yesterday but is quite clear about not believing she is old. And that was about all she was willing to say on the matter, referring all questions after that to her daughter. Ann Necaise, one of Cotton s two daughters, said her mother remained very independent and in relatively good health, although she steadfastly refused to get hearing aids.
