I get lost in judgmental, negative thought loops: “Ugh! How awful can it get? Is this the worst of my actions during a manic episode? …” If I were to answer myself honestly, I’d say, “Maybe, but I don’t think so.” Because some things I will never write about. Some things I will never tell anyone. But I am willing to share this story, so others know they’re not alone. You are not alone. If you have struggled with mania. If you have done things you regret. If you have gambled and lost lost big in a manic episode. If you haven’t been able to pry yourself out of bed, for days. If you have lost yourself in psychosis.
