Free State police have made yet another arrest over the illegal sale of the Antiretroviral (ARV) tablets.
This latest arrest comes less than 6 months after 16 suspects were nabbed in October last year.
Police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, says a 45-year-old man who works at a local clinic in Botshabelo outside Bloemfontein was arrested after 102 bottles of ARV tablets were seized at his house.
He says the suspect was nabbed following an intelligence-driven operation on Thursday by the Selosesha Tactical Response Team.
Makhele says the ARVs are valued at R41 200. Police also found stamped doctor s sick notes, doctor s referral letters and syringes. Makhele adds that upon further investigation it emerged that the suspect was allegedly selling the ARV tablets for R100 per bottle.
