CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Some North Carolina residents in Group 4 will become eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine Wednesday, March 17.
Eligibility will open Wednesday for those at high risk of severe illness and people living in certain congregate settings. The rest of Group 4 will be eligible to receive a vaccine starting April 7.
According to WDIO Hermantown Community Schools Superintendent Wayne Whitman said:
With the new announcement what we re looking at doing is renting space down at the DECC in Duluth, we believe the capacity is going to be right around 1200. You know we re still working out the tentative details, but we believe with a graduating class of about 170 that would hold the guests that would attend.
Now that the date and venue is set many details still need to be ironed out to make sure that the students and audience members will remain safe and socially distanced.

Davenport University Returns To In-Person Experience This Fall
Davenport University is very optimistic as they made the announcement they plan to return to in-person classes and more for the fall semester, to create a more normal college experience.
WZZM reports the Davenport University will offer in-person classes, activities on campus, and sporting events for the fall semester according to Devonport University s Dr. Richard J Pappas, Our students have done an outstanding job of honoring the safety protocols we put in place to protect the health and safety of our community. I m confident that with the vaccine more readily available and our responsible student population, we will be able to provide the on-campus college experience this fall our students have come to expect.

After a year of virtual Zoom dating, lots of singles are ready to get back to in-person dating and Tinder is here to help. The dating app is giving away 1,000 free COVID tests to encourage folks to go on dates again.
Starting this Saturday, Tinder users can claim the testing kits and they’ll be able to reserve a pair of tests - one for them and one for their match. They’re giving away 1,000 Everlywell COVID Test Home Collection Kits in total, allowing 500 couples to know they’re negative so they can go on a date. And now that some states are lifting COVID safety restrictions, those dates could happen at restaurants and movie theaters.
