MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Rev. Matthew Peek, pastor of First Baptist Church in Moultrie, referenced “a day at the beach” as he spoke Monday at the annual Memorial Day ceremony
Barry Clayton Brown, age 76, of Sedalia and formerly of Brighton, CO, died Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at the Essex.
He was born August 2, 1944 in Watford, England a son of the late Thomas Clayton and Eleanor Mary Johnson Brown. He was married to Sally A. Nix who preceded him in death on August 22, 2004.
Mr. Brown served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He attended Faith Baptist Church in Sedalia.
He is survived by his good friend and caregiver Veronika Mezentsev and her daughter Elizabeth of Sedalia. He was also preceded in death by three brothers.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, May 30, at Faith Baptist Church in Sedalia, with Pastor Matthew Edwards officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.
