Devon Sawa ( Idle Hands) stars as a husband and father hunting a wolf in the woods. Simple, right? And, man, I thought I had this movie pegged from the get-go. But boy, was I wrong. I think what makes the movie so effective is we keep waiting for a major twist ending. And it never comes. Only the final realization this wasn’t a magic trick. Just a good old fashion nightmare. Monsters and all. Strong turns by Camille Sullivan, Summer H. Howell, and Nick Stahl make the matters all the more horrific.

Freaky Delivers A Fun Twist On Horror

Canyon News HOLLYWOOD I love horror movies, anyone who knows me is well aware of that. However, when I think of horror I think of horror. I want a movie that is suspenseful and leaves me on the edge of my seat. I’m not looking for a comedy or satire, which is not easy to do in the horror genre. A lot of flicks have tried it and failed miserably at it. How can I best say this, “Freaky” is pretty violent. The level of violence and blood would make you think you were watching a movie from the 80s. It honestly took me back in the opening sequence which I thought was fantastic. A group of teens talking about a local legend and the mythos of a serial killer who happens to come to fruition and to dispatch of them one-by-one in gruesome fashion: it is horror 101, but it works America.

CinemaBlend Happy Death Day fans want a repeat (or, rather, a three-peat) of this time looping franchise s success. The original was a surprise hit, both critically and commercially, and the sequel proved to be nearly on-par with the first spin. One imagines that this loopy series would only get bigger and more bonkers with a trilogy-capping sequel.
