Rakeb Sile and Mesai Haileleul, the co-founders of Addis Fine Art, started out as art consultants in London while simultaneously running a gallery in Addis-Ababa, which they founded in 2016. BAPE is starting off the year with a show of force. This latest release from the Japanese imprint subtly updates the BAPE STA – an iconic model that has been the subject of collaborations with Kanye West, KAWS, Virgil Abloh and others – in discreet colorways of Black, White and Beige, making for silhouettes that can easily be dressed up or down. The upgraded models have also been fitted with a new sole design that conforms to the shape of your foot for a more snug fit.
The drop also revives four new designs with highly collectible color iterations. First is the BAPE SK8 STA in three punchy, ‘90s-inspired styles: the Star logo in Gym Red set against Wheat, Forest Green with Dark Purple, and Electric Yellow against a black suede upper.
