DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE/HARASSMENT
February 10, 12:27 a.m.: Police were dispatched to 200 block of Harrison Avenue in reference to a domestic complaint. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who advised that her boyfriend had been threatening violence against her. She showed evidence of violent text messages and the male was detained for domestic violence threats. He was transported to the Darke County jail.
WARRANT
February 7, 8:19 a.m.: Police responded to a welfare check near the 300 block of Locus Street. In doing so, David Harrison was located and had a warrant for his arrest from Miami County for a probation violation on the original charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Miami County served papers for a court date and Harrison was not detained.

The meeting began with the approval of a memorandum of understanding between Darke Co. Auditor Carol Ginn, and the Darke Co. Board of Developmental Disabilities. GREENVILLE The Darke County Board of Commissioners met Wednesday afternoon to discuss hirings and fund advances.
The meeting began with a review of Resolution (R-20-2021) for vouchers dated Jan. 27 for county bills. The amount from the county general fund was $43,515.45, and outside general funds covered $1,274,631.64, for a total of $1,318,147.09. The motion was approved.
The board reviewed the hiring of a new Eligibility Referral Specialist for Darke County Job & Family Services. The motion was approved.

Commissioners discuss admin matters

GREENVILLE The Darke County Board of Commissioners met Monday afternoon to primarily address administrative reorganizing leading into 2021. Commissioners Matt Aultman, Mike Stegall, and Larry Holmes were all present.
To begin the meeting, the commissioners voted on leadership positions. Matt Aultman was selected to be chairman of the Board, and Mike Stegall was selected as vice chairman. The newly elected commissioner, Larry Holmes, remains a voting member. These positions are typically selected in accordance with seniority.
Robin Blinn was reappointed to the position of administrative clerk/secretary, and Charity Hutt was reappointed assistant clerk/secretary. All of the commissioners thanked Blinn and Hutt for their exemplary work at the office.
