Having a signature model Telecaster is a big deal for Jason Isbell. “I’ve owned and played Fender guitars since I was 12-years-old and consider their instruments to be a big part of my musical journey,” Isbell says in a statement announcing the new guitar.
Isbell, a four-time Grammy winner, Green Hill native and former Muscle Shoals resident, is famous for his brilliance as a lyricist. Both as a solo star and with his former band Drive-By Truckers, his signature tunes, such as “24 Frames,” “If We Were Vampires,” “Cover Me Up,” “Outfit” and “Codeine,” comprise one of the most acclaimed catalogs of the last 25 years.
