BUFFALO, N.Y. Chef Darian Bryan has been cooking since he was 8-years-old in Jamaica, now the personal chef for a few Buffalo Bills players, including Stefon Diggs, is busier than ever, cooking meals to keep football players well nourished.
When asked what is it about cooking that excites him, he recalled cooking as a child. I loved it, he said. I like the way how food made people happy then I started to make experiments on my grandparents, some weird stuff, oh try this, and I see their reaction and I m like, you know what, this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.

New analyses of COVID-19 data in Erie County shows more people have died in the last four months from the virus than in the first six months of the pandemic.
Data released by Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz Monday showed more than 52% of the county’s nearly 1,500 deaths have occurred since Sept. 23. White county residents are also dying out of proportion to their percentage of the population in the last four months, compared to Black residents in the first six months.
Poloncarz said the trend is reflected in small city, suburban and rural COVID cases. White individuals that have really been struck hard by COVID-19 with regards to cases, hospitalizations and deaths in the last four months, he said. I do believe that it has a lot to do, also, with the disproportionate amount of individuals who were impacted by COVID during the first portion of the pandemic. African Americans were much more impacted.

The Erie County Legislature has approved the first of several Erie Community College contracts to bring all three campuses up to federal Americans with Disabilities Act standards, costs that will eventually total several million dollars.
When a college gets federal dollars, federal inspectors show up occasionally to take a look. For ECC s City Campus, that inspection was in 2017. Inspectors found problems, particularly ramps and bathrooms. As far as width of the ramp, the pitch of the ramp, how steep it is to make sure it’s safe for both our students and our staff, as well as visitors coming onto our campus, said ECC Interim President William Reuter.
MAAC Scheduled To PLAY BALL This Spring
Spring sports are scheduled to make their return to the Capital Region. The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Council of Presidents has approved the schedule for Spring sports. Soccer, volleyball, water polo, baseball, softball, and lacrosse all have competition scheduled to begin this March. Meanwhile, Cross-Country can start in February.
When most people think of MAAC sports they think of Siena who obviously plays the most MAAC games locally but UAlbany Women s Golf is also in the MAAC. It feels awesome to have an official set of start dates for MAAC Spring sports to look forward to. With any luck, the America East and CAA will follow with similar announcements ASAP. This news has me daring to dream of UAlbany Football actually getting to play their Spring schedule!
