Nothing has been “normal” for the Central New York restaurant industry in the past year, and that will hold true for the annual promotion called Syracuse Downtown Dining Weeks. This year, it’s “Delicious Downtown Deals,” and it will last a whole month (February) instead of the usual two weeks in February. That means it starts today and ends Sunday, Feb. 28. The grants will be used to preserve and showcase the canal’s heritage, educate youth and welcome visitors to explore the canal in their local communities. “As the pandemic continues to present abnormal challenges it is especially gratifying to support diverse canal inspired innovations. We are so pleased to make these timely investments and contribute to the resilience of our canal communities,” said Bob Radliff, Executive Director of the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor.
