Iran Denies Detaining 160 Armenian Servicemen After Karabakh Conflict Sun 23rd May 2021 | 09:30 PM YEREVAN (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 23rd May, 2021) The Iranian Embassy in Yerevan firmly denied on Sunday claims circulated earlier by the Armenian media that 160 Armenian soldiers are allegedly being held by Tehran after crossing the Iranian border during the escalation of the Karabakh conflict in the fall of 2020. The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Armenia refutes and considers false and groundless information circulating in some Armenian media that 160 Armenian servicemen are in Iran and that the Iranian side has set conditions for their release, the statement issued by the embassy on Facebook said.

Credit: Met Police A man who placed a bottle of flammable liquid in the exhaust pipe of an Iranian diplomatic vehicle has been sentenced under the Mental Health Act. Sam Parsa put the bottle containing a rag soaked in a mix of petrol and diesel into the exhaust of the unattended vehicle in Knightsbridge in September 2018. The bottle was later spotted and removed after a member of the public alerted police officers. Officers from the counter terrorism command led the investigation and through DNA, mobile phone data and CCTV analysis, identified 60-year-old Parsa, of High Road, Tottenham, as the culprit and showed that he was in the area of the Iranian Embassy on the date and time of the offence.
