The three-day weekend historically marked the start of the music festival season in the region. But with easing COVID-19 restrictions on the horizon, musicians are planning to hit the stage again this summer and fall.
It s the announcement many local performers have been waiting for. State officials released new guidelines on Friday permitting live indoor events starting on April 15, under some conditions. I m excited to get back to work, for people to see the space. If it means everyone has to be vaccinated to do that, please go out and get the vaccine and come out and enjoy our venue. His venue opened just months before the pandemic hit. Under the new guidelines, the number of people allowed at an indoor performance will increase if all attendees are tested or can provide proof of vaccination. Capacity will also depend on the level of restrictions in place at each county, which is based on the state s reopening tiers.
