A general question to the community. On mobile we added an app-like menu in the bottom of the page, as opposed to the previous hamburger-style menu in the top left hoping we can make sections of the website more easily accessible and more in tune with how apps generally function.
Is this making access more easy and intuitive, apart from the time it takes to get used to the new location of the main menu? There s also a fold-out menu because of the limited horizontal space a phone screen offers. Would you change the order of the items or have any other feedback regarding the new mobile menu?

Recently, the owner of an Italian restaurant in the Olympic Village came under withering criticism for defying a public health order to shut down.
Federico Fuoco’s eatery, Gusto: A Taste of Italy, only had four tables at the time. Its large windows could be opened to create a great deal of fresh air flowing through the establishment. But he broke the rules and the city temporarily suspended his licence until April 20.
He complied with the inspectors order after they visited. This stood in contrast with the other outlier, Corduroy, where the inspectors were shouted out of the establishment by antimask advocates. The city wanted to send a message so each received the same penalty.

The nonprofit Burrard Arts Foundation (BAF) has revealed the names of the six Vancouver emerging artists chosen for its 2021 Residency Program.
In this program, artists can work from the BAF Vancouver studios for up to 14 weeks during their residencies, which are tailored to each individual. The BAF provides resources and support, including a materials budget, multimedia production, and a solo exhibition in the adjacent gallery space for the work completed during the residencies.
BAF founder and director Christian Chan explained in a news release that the program, which is supported by the Chan Family Foundation and the City of Vancouver Cultural Grants Program, aims to ensure “art is accessible, relevant, and approachable” for Vancouver audiences.
