The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, Ithra, recently hosted its second Ithra Annual Gathering at the Center in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. At the event, attended by intellectuals, artists, writers and thought leaders, Ithra announced the most prominent programmes and events planned for 2021.
The events calendar features diverse cultural activities suited for all ages that address the fields of art, creativity, culture, knowledge and society.

Gulf leaders signed a “solidarity and stability” agreement towards ending the diplomatic rift with Qatar at a summit in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
The announcement was made at the Gulf Arab leaders’ meeting in Saudi Arabia, with the annual summit taking place amid a breakthrough in the dispute between a Saudi Arabia-led bloc and Qatar that started in June 2017.
Leaders of the six-member Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) signed the Al-Ula declaration, named after the Saudi city where the summit is being held, and a final communique.

Al-Ula: The 41st session of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), which was held in the Al-Ula Governorate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the participation of Their Highnesses and Excellencies heads of the delegations participating in the session, issued its final communique.

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia and Turkey will hold talks to map out a future strategy for cooperation in the agriculture sector on Tuesday. The talks, to be held within the framework of a major initiative launched by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah to ensure food security, will be led by Minister of Agriculture Fahd Balghunaim, while Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Mehdi Eker will attend from the Turkish side. Saudi Arabia and Turkey wanted to enhance their relations in the field of agriculture, said Sadik Arslan, charge d affaires at Turkish Embassy, when asked about the talks agenda. Arslan said that Eker and his seven-member entourage were on a three-day official visit to the Kingdom following an invitation extended by Balghunaim. He said that Riyadh and Ankara were keen to explore a new cooperation agenda, especially in the agriculture sector.
