UK broadcaster Channel 4 has ordered the innovative competition format Murder Island, which mixes factual entertainment and crime drama, from STV Studios and Motion Content Group. The six-part series revolves around a fictional murder plot written and developed by a major crime writer. It will see members of the public step into the role of detective in a murder mystery investigation, with participants having just one week to compete and find out if they’ve got what it takes to solve the crime.
