Feb 2, 2021 AMSTERDAM In anticipation of significant snow amounts, the city will declare a snow emergency today beginning at 6 p.m. Monday night until further notice, according to a news release. The snow emergency requires that all motor vehicles be removed from (parking on) city streets by 6 p.m. Vehicles cannot park on city streets until the snow emergency is lifted. If anyone has questions or concerns, call the Amsterdam Police Department at (518) 842-1100. The following is a list of city owned parking lots: City Hall; Post Office; Guy Park Avenue Extension (Kirk Douglas parking); Golf Course; Veteran’s Field (upper field along Locust Avenue and Roosevelt Road and the road to the pool building; Morris Street Parking Lot; East Main and DeGraff (both lots); between Vrooman and Lefferts (behind Art Center); Eagle and East Main Streets; Dean and East Main Streets; 47 Reid Street; Milton Avenue between First and Second Avenues; Prospect Street (upper, near Elizabeth Street);

Nashville bombing: Downtown curfew extended; moving days set for Saturday and Sunday Staff Reports, Nashville Tennessean Replay Video UP NEXT Nashville Mayor John Cooper announced that a curfew for a section of downtown has been extended in the wake of a Christmas Day bombing on Second Avenue North.  The curfew began at 5 p.m. Thursday and will end at 5 p.m. on Jan. 15 for the area bounded by Union Street, Second Avenue North, Broadway and the Cumberland River. It includes all structures and properties front Second Avenue North, the mayor said on Twitter. Additionally, Cooper said several streets are closed around the scene of the blast, including:
