Getting a second chance
When Judgement first released on the PlayStation 4 back in 2019 it was met with plenty of praise. The game took a familiar setting and infused it with great new characters, while also adding quality of life improvements to the already entertaining Yakuza formula. Fast forward to 2021 and now even more people are able to experience the game. Sega has spruced up the visuals among other pieces and released it across more than just one platform, giving other players a chance to experience this unique spin-off of the Yakuza franchise.
For those that don’t know, Judgement follows the story of Takayuki Yagami. He is a promising young attorney who wins a very high-profile case only to quickly find out the person he defended ended up murdering someone else after he got them off. This ends his legal career, and instead he takes on the role of a for-hire detective in the world of Kamurocho.

While each console manufacturer makes 1st party controllers which it deems to be the perfect balance between cost and functionality, 3rd party offerings are able to get much more creative with its designs and features. One of the most well known 3rd party manufacturers, SCUF, has now announced that it is working on its own PS5 controller.
In a recent financial call, the CEO of SCUF’s parent company Corsair revealed that a PS5 version of the SCUF controller is in the works. While no release date was given, they claimed that “We’re obviously working as fast as we can to get out [the] PS5 controller. We haven’t released when that will be, but I suspect we’ll be pretty early in the market compared to any of our competitors.”
In a brand new State of Play presentation, Sony showed off gameplay of the incredible looking
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
The 15 minute video from creative director at Insomniac, Marcus Smith, gave us a detailed glimpse into what the game has in store when it releases on PlayStation 5 on 11 June.
The never-before-seen gameplay included a fresh look at combat, which looks as frenetic and responsive as ever. Ratchet – and new playable female Lombax Rivet – can now dash around levels to evade attacks, or utilise the Rift Tether item to teleport into dimensional tears around the levels.
And the wacky weapons the series is known for make a welcome return. The video showed off returning weapons like the Burst Pistol and new weapons like the shotgun-like Enforcer, the Topiary Sprinkler that turns enemies into plants, and the Shatterbomb grenades.
