Nextgen Group is set to round out its multicloud strategy after being appointed as an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Public Sector Partner and AWS Distributor in Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ).
The deal sees the Sydney-headquartered distributor, which began life predominantly as an Oracle house, embark on a growth trajectory that is likely to see it dramatically build out its partner network and portfolio offering.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is offering up to $5,000 worth of credits to Australian local government, education and small and medium community organisations in a new disaster recovery programme.
The credits can be used by eligible organisations to offset the cost of storing their data on AWS, which can be accessed even if their computing equipment is damaged in a disaster.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched its Partner Transformation Program (PTP) in Australia and New Zealand, tapping four local players as inaugural members.
The world s biggest cloud provider has started working with ARQ, AC3, Datacom and NEC on its two-year-old program, which aims to improve their customer migration capabilities.
The program consists of a 100-day transformation plan carried out by AWS for its partners, which involves ‘scrums’ and daily training sessions about cloud best practices.
