Speaking to Digital Spy, Michael explained: I knew how long I wanted off and I really wanted to spend some time with my family. The run-up to the exit story was really intense and the hours we work are phenomenal. I knew I d spent a long time away from my family and I wanted to be at home with them – to be a dad, to take the kids to school and things like that. I was due to go back a little bit sooner but obviously the pandemic hit.

Casualty has unveiled the full details of Iain Dean s new storyline ahead of his return this weekend.
Michael Stevenson s reprisal of the role has been known since Christmas, the star having originally departed the soap last September.
Iain s return comes amid Jan Jenning s drugs storyline as she tries to protect her son Ross, with this Saturday s (April 10) episode seeing her and Ffion Morgan ambushed by masked men on motorbikes, who attack Ffion. BBC
Amid the confrontation, Jan is secretly passed drugs for her next drop for Ross, who later calls his mother, insisting that he tried to protect her and telling her she has to do the drop.
Next week on
