Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, are making their theme park debuts in a newly announced partnership between Sony Pictures and Thailand-based attractions company Amazon Falls.

Columbia Pictures’ Aquaverse is an existing water park in the seaside town of Bangsaray owned by Amazon Falls. The company will revamp the park, retrofitting it with some of Columbia Pictures’ most recognizable properties. In addition to the animated films,
Ghostbusters, Jumanji, Men in Black, and
Bad Boys will also be featured prominently in Aquaverse.

BANGKOK (Bloomberg): Sony Pictures Entertainment is developing the Columbia Pictures studio name and films into a theme and water park in Thailand, just in time for a post-Covid rebound in tourism.
The company is working with attractions developer Amazon Falls Co to create the Columbia Pictures’ Aquaverse, rebranding and expanding an existing Amazon Falls water park. Additions will include characters from movies ranging from Ghostbusters” to Jumanji” to Hotel Transylvania.”
Rides and attractions at the 14-acre (5.7-hectare) park, which is being developed in Bangsaray, about 90 minutes from Bangkok, will begin to open in phases in October 2021, Sony said Tuesday.

Sony Pictures Entertainment and Amazon Falls have announced a new deal to develop a 14-acre location in Bangsaray, Thailand just 20 minutes from Pattaya and 90 minutes from Bangkok for the world’s first Columbia Pictures theme park and waterpark, “Columbia Pictures’ Aquaverse.”
Rides and attractions for the Sony aquapark are set to begin opening this October, and will feature experiences that bring to life beloved characters from movies like “Ghostbusters,” “Jumanji,” “Bad Boys,” “Men in Black,” and “Hotel Transylvania.”
