What: Each year the Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley hosts a Women In Service luncheon honoring outstanding women volunteers throughout the Santa Clarita Valley. They celebrate the contributions each dynamic volunteer makes to their non profit organization that share Zonta’s mission.
The “36th Annual Women in Service Celebration” will be held via Zoom on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11:00 am. Join them in honoring 17 amazing women who have worked to improve the lives of women and girls in Santa Clarita Valley. These dynamic volunteers are nominated by non-profit organizations that share the Zonta mission.

LOWVILLE â Each week in May â Mental Health Awareness Month â Lewis County Public Health has planned events.
This week, through May 14, community remembers are encouraged to join the challenge and share their favorite form of self-care by uploading a picture to the Lewis County Mental Health Awareness Month event page on Facebook.
Self-care for mental health includes such activities as talking with a friend, pampering yourself with a manicure or pedicure, spending time outdoors, listening to music, playing with a pet, watching funny videos, reading or making a healthy meal. Those submitting a photo will be entered into a prize drawing.

The plans for phase two of Notcutts Woodbridge Garden Centre redevelopment

A Woodbridge garden centre is set for its next phase of development.
In June, Notcutts will build two large new canopies to create a covered area for customers and plants.
A new entrance will also be built close to the car park, on the left-hand side of the site.
Access from the road for customers will soon be via the roundabout. Delivery vehicles will be kept separate, using the existing access point.
Four new statement trees are also being planted to replace a partially diseased twisted willow tree, which will be removed.
