A private hospital in Britain has adopted disposable hijabs for its female Muslim doctors.
In a tweet, the Royal Derby Hospital said it was the first hospital in the UK to adopt the disposable hijabs, which were introduced by Malaysian-origin doctor Dr Farah Roslan.
“We are proud to be national leaders of good practice and inclusivity. We believe we re the first Trust in the UK to introduce disposable sterile headscarves for staff to use in our Operating Theatres thanks to former Royal Derby Hospital Medical Student, Farah Roslan,” the Royal Derby Hospital tweeted.
