Health department to distribute Pfizer vaccines to children ages 12-15 May 12, 2021 JACKSON, Tenn. Beginning Thursday, May 13, the Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department announced they will begin distributing the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to residents ages 12 to 15. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in order to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, according to a news release. “We’re excited to begin giving COVID-19 vaccine to this younger population,” Regional Director Kim Tedford said. “The more people who get vaccinated the closer we get to reaching heard immunity and getting back to normal life.” The health department is currently offering walk-in COVID-19 vaccination appointments Monday through Saturday.
