Rise in positive cases behind curbs on arrival

He said that 1,700 citizens arriving from abroad were quarantined. The Supreme Committee’s decision to prohibit the arrival of travellers from certain countries was due to the fact that tests on such travellers showed many COVID-19-positive cases, some of which exceeded 20 percent of segments, said the Minister of Health. In addition, Brig. Mohammed Salam Al Hashami of the Directorate-General Public Relations, Royal Oman Police (ROP), said that the ROP is following up developments and decisions of the Supreme Committee.

DGPR employees continue protest for pay raise - Newspaper

QUETTA: Employees of the Directorate General Public Relations (DGPR) continued their protest for the 25th consecutive day on Thursday for acceptance of their demands, particularly that of media professional allowance. Members of the DGPR Officers Welfare Association and other officials have been boycotting official work for two hours daily to record their protest against what they called injustice to their department, which has been working for projecting the development activities under way by the government throughout the province. The protesters hanged various banners on the DGPR office’s building and walls and hoisted black flags. They complained against discriminatory policies of the government towards them.
