Tebow vs. Kaepernick: Compared the Way Only the Maha Could
May 11, 2021
TODD: So it’s back. They can’t stop talking about Colin Kaepernick. Tim Tebow got a second NFL tryout, and people of course went… I love this word so much. I love saying “apoplectic.” I don’t know if I say it correctly. Apoplectic? They went nuts. (laughing) I have confirmation from the broadcast engineer, Mike Maimone, that I’ve said “apoplectic” the right way.
They just went nuts that Tebow got this chance. Tim Tebow’s probably not gonna be an NFL quarterback. Colin Kaepernick’s probably no longer going to be an NFL quarterback. Neither of them achieved the greatness they would have wanted in the sport. One of them is not bitter about that. One of them is of good cheer.

TODD: It is so important for us to find the moments of… I don’t know that it’s “great news” as much as it is verification that America is still here. I’m of the belief right now that we’re in a situation where we’re not a united states and that may even, at this point, sound almost obvious. I began to say that years ago and some would say, “That is so irresponsible.”
I began to say, “You know what? When I’m seeing citizens attacked to the streets by terror groups, that means to me that we’re in a state of cold civil war,” and people say it’s wildly irresponsible. And then we watched, of course, this summer that unless you’re… Was it Thomas Friedman at the New York Times who was unaware that cities were burning?
Happy Memories! The Day Rush Deleted His Twitter Account

JASON: You know, Facebook decided to punt. (chuckles) I love this. This is like the Facebook Oversight Board saying that Facebook was justified in suspending a president of the United States on a common carrier public utility. I’m gonna get to that in a moment because that’s the best analogy. Clarence Thomas wrote something erudite, as he always does, on this.
But for their oversight board to say, “Well, we looked at this, and I want to tell you, Facebook had a point. Um, we’ll study it some more. They should come back in six months and decide if the ban should be permanent, but they can keep suspension on a former president for another six months. Just fine with us!” Are these people serving as FISA judges or what?

Remember When Liz Cheney Lied to Rush and All of Us When She Pretended to Back Trump?

KEN: So a moment ago we were talking about Liz Cheney, and like so many Republicans, she has mastered the ability to put Liz Cheney first and that’s not what We the People want. And I mentioned last hour, the biggest threat it has been and it continues to be are Republicans that pretend to support us and then stab us in the back, figuratively speaking.
The biggest mistake the Republican Party is making and I know some of you pay close attention to Frank Luntz’s work. “Luntz’s work.” It’s funny ’cause that’s a mistake. But the biggest mistake so many of these people make is they get wrapped up in focus groups and opinion polls, and they’re always checking the wind and the more you do that as a Republican, the less support you’ll get from We the People.
