Santa Claus is coming to town . . . early!  Fun fact.  He s going to be downtown this Saturday at the Owensboro Convention Center for a very special drive-thru event. Santa Claus will be in town for a FREE Drive-Thru Breakfast with Santa from 8am to 10am CST on Saturday, December 12th.  The first 250 people to visit the drive-thru will receive a FREE pancake and bacon breakfast to go. Okay, the very sound of that has my jingle bells ringing.  LOL! Not only will Santa be on the hand for the event, but he ll also be collecting letters to Santa. When I was a kid, I remember writing my letter every single year.  Of course, back then, we would take those letters with us to the Owensboro-Daviess County Christmas Parade and give them to Santa s helpers as they walked along the parade route.  This Saturday, your youngsters will be able to hand them to the big guy himself- completing eliminating the elves!
