The University of Mindanao Institute of Popular Opinion (UM-IPO) conducted an online survey from March 10 to 19, 2021, targeting Dabawenyos from the three districts of the city to know their preference for the upcoming 2022 presidential election.
The survey also showed that six of 10 respondents preferred Duterte-Carpio as they are confident that she will run for the highest position in the polls, while three out of 10 said they are not sure whether she will run for presidency.

Senator Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao has asked the United States to facilitate the immediate release of the COVID-19 vaccines purchased by the Philippines from American drug firm Moderna.

Pacquiao wrote to US President Joseph Biden thru US Embassy to the Philippines Chargé d’Affaires John Law, “to urgently request your good office to facilitate the immediate release of the 20 million doses Moderna COVID-19 vaccines secured by the Philippine government.”
In his letter dated April 10, 2021 and released to media on Saturday, May 1, the administration ally lamented that the Philippines “is now in dire health crisis because of the recent spike in COVID-19 infections.”

Senator Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao has filed a bill to create a system by which the government and the private sector could work together in fighting involuntary hunger which has become more widespread because of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

In filing Senate Bill (SB)1364, or his proposed the Food Waste Reduction Act, the boxing icon-turned-politician explained that there would have been no need for people to line up on community pantries just to get by and get something to eat if the government has an institutionalized and organized system of reducing food wastage through food donation and food waste.
