UH one of the largest contributors among all state offices. This year, the Hawaiʻi Foodbank’s statewide goal is to raise 35,000 pounds of food and $150,000.
The top five most wanted items are monetary contributions, canned proteins (chicken/tuna), canned meals (stew/spaghetti), canned vegetables/fruit and rice (five to ten pound bags are preferred).
While monetary and food donations will still be accepted across
UH’s 10 campuses, many employees continue to telework and may not physically be on their respective campus.
Monetary donations are being accepted via the Hawaiʻi Foodbank’s online donation page. Please make sure you include your campus/unit in the “additional comments” with your donation for appropriate credit to your respective campus/unit.

Nights on B Street, a collaboration of art by Adam LeBlanc and poetry by University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Emeritus Professor
Joseph Stanton on exhibit at Windward Community College’s Gallery ʻIolani. The exhibit is available virtually to the public. It includes spoken poetry and a virtual stroll up and down B Street, with commentary about the artists’ collaboration.

Nights on B Street, invites intrigue and mystique while gathering viewers into the urban landscape world of residents encompassing dreams fulfilled or unfulfilled. Musicians and artists are playing to those scenarios, and passersby become part of the panorama in this culturally captivating inner cityscape. Insightful poetry by Stanton accompanies LeBlanc’s work giving the viewer a bountiful treat.
More than two-dozen University of Hawaiʻi health care students from the Mānoa, Hilo and Kapiʻolani Community College campuses earned top honors in various competitive categories at the 16th Annual Hawaiʻi Health Occupations Students of America (
HOSA)–Future Health Professionals Virtual State Leadership Conference. The international organization specializes in empowering students to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration and experience.
