With former featherweight titlist Josh Warrington set to return this Saturday, Feb. 13 on DAZN (2 pm ET) against Mauricio Lara, the still-unbeaten fighter from Leeds, England, has his sights set on bigger bouts going forward.
That’s not to say that Warrington (30-0, 7 KO) will overlook Lara (21-2, 14 KO), at least not in the sense that he’ll come to the ring indifferent or unprepared, but he is a massive favorite here, and there isn’t expected to be a whole lot of resistance.

ESPN’s Salvador Rodriguez reports that after successfully becoming a two-weight world champion last October, Emanuel Navarrete will defend his WBO featherweight belt on April 24th against former super featherweight title challenger Christopher “Pitufo” Diaz.
The location and possibility of a live audience remain up in the air.
Navarrete (32-1, 27 KO) put together a rather lengthy but rather soft reign at 122 pounds, ultimately vacating last year following a beatdown of Jeo Santisima and subsequent stay-busy mauling of Uriel Lopez. Shakur Stevenson vacated his WBO featherweight title at around the same time, leaving “Vaquero” to face Ruben Villa for the belt and score two knockdowns en route to a competitive decision victory.

Philadelphia resident Stephen Fulton (18-0, KO8) is looking to make a statement in 2021 and beyond, after seeing his progress checked by the COVID-19 crisis in 2020.
Fulton was all set for a vacant WBO Super Featherweight title clash with Las Vegas based “El Chinito” Angelo Leo (20-0, KO9) back in August, but had to pull out with days to go as he was struck down with the virus.
The pair finally get it on this Saturday night inside the Mohegan Sun Hotel & Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, with Leo now serving as full champion having won the title against late notice replacement for Fulton, Tremaine Williams.
A bemused Josh Warrington has questioned Can Xu’s motivation for fighting after a bout that would have had two world titles on the line fell through because of the Chinese’s
