TREASURER Josh Frydenberg will hand down the federal budget next week and we will learn how much money will flow for infrastructure, upgrades and other programs in Ipswich.
Ahead of the budget, the QT asked all of the cityâs elected representatives what they believed to be the priority projects in their patches.
As the fastest growing city in Queensland, Ipswich desperately needs the infrastructure to keep up the expected population growth with the total number of residents set to more than double to 558,000 in the next 20 years.

The A14 Orwell Bridge will be kept under a reduced 40mph speed limit this evening as the new measures for strong winds are rolled out for the first time.
Highways England tweeted to alert drivers to the speed limit which will be put in place from around 6.30pm on Bank Holiday Monday until midnight.
Windy weather is expected to peak again on Tuesday from 10am to 2pm, where highways bosses say they are hoping to keep the bridge open but again reduce the speed limit to 40mph.

BELOVED resident Brittney Kahl has long-been known across Ipswich for her outstanding musical talent and dedication to the cityâs thriving entertainment scene.
Now, her skills have been recognised by some of Queenslandâs industry heavyweights following her acceptance into the renowned QMusic Women in Music Mentorship program.
The State-led program requires nine mentees to develop a musical tour showcasing a line-up of female performers who will take to the stage in North Queensland later this year.

Ms Kahl has been tasked with venue booking and production.
âIâm really excited to connect and work with other emerging female industry professionals, and pour the skills and knowledge gained in the program back into my local community,â she said.

Subscriber only A CONDENSED route for the 2021 Ipswich Anzac Day March appears to have done little to dampen the community’s spirit.
Crowds turned out in droves to the streets of Ipswich Central on Sunday, eager to witness the return of the longstanding tradition following its cancellation event.
Despite the day’s sombre undertone, an air of excitement proved high among local youngsters – many of whom were later fascinated by the military vehicles on display. Ipswich Central Anzac Day March
Long-time attendee Warren Keel commended the significant turnout.
“I’m always very impressed with the Anzac Day march in Ipswich, they always get a really good roll up,” Mr Keel said.
