Bauchi Governor signs $70m MoU with UK-based firm on provision of electricity Published Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, on Friday evening signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PowerDot, a United Kingdom-based energy firm, on provision of uninterrupted electricity through incineration of municipal solid waste to energy at an affordable cost. The MoU, which is a $70million investment, according to a press statement signed and made available to DAILY POST by the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Governor, Muktar Gidado, covered provision of 10 megawatts of power through waste. Speaking shortly after signing the MoU at the Mini Chamber, Government House, Bauchi, Governor Mohammed pledged to provide the required support for the smooth execution of the firm’s project in the state.

Speaking shortly after signing the MoU at the Mini Chambers of the Government House, Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed, pledged to provide the required support for the smooth execution of the firm’s project in the state. The governor who pledged to protect the investment of the firm in the state, observed that, the initiative will enhance internally generated revenue, create employment opportunities in addition to bringing industrialisation to the state.
