A stock image of an Alexa (inset) which was among the items stolen AN ALEXA speaker and other electrical items were snatched by a burglar from the home of an elderly man who lives alone. Police are appealing for information after the break-in at an address on Laffak Road on Sunday, January 10. It is believed the burglar forced entry into the back of the property at around 4am, after stealing from the tool shed. The offender searched every room throughout the house before taking the Alexa speaker and a Google Nest speaker, as well as a Samsung tablet. A wallet containing a driving licence was also stolen.
