Impact Retail has brought production in-house with an Onset X1 HS – becoming the world’s first user of the new model in the process.

The Leicester business had originally planned to install an Inca Onset X1 from Fujifilm in the spring of last year, but its plans were delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We went live in July instead, and we’d been speaking to them about being a beta tester for the X1 HS,” explained Impact Retail commercial director Nic O’Donovan.

Based in Saint-Denis-sur-Sarthon, Normandy, SDPS is a leading supplier of high quality wide format print to the French POP and POS market. The company installed its first Onset X2 in 2016 and followed that with a second installation the following year. Three years on, in the summer of 2020, they decided to take the opportunity to upgrade to the Onset X2 HS, which was launched by Fujifilm and Inca Digital in 2019.
