Knoxville Raceway Hopes For Good Weather Tonight

Knoxville Raceway Hoping For Good Weather For Week Four Of Action

The Knoxville Raceway prepares for week four of sprint car racing tonight. It has been one of the most competitive starts to the season in recent memory with only one driver repeating as a winner, that being Matthew Stelzer in the Pro Sprints, as he won his second straight race last week. Clint Garner finds himself on top of the 360s after winning last week for the first time in over a year. One driver that has been a mainstay in the 360s is Matt Moro. Moro is not running for points this season, but as he says, just having a little fun with plans to possibly run in all classes this season.

Beautiful Weather Predicted For Week Three At The Knoxville Raceway

The Knoxville Raceway looks to make it 3/3 in getting race nights in to start the season. The last time that happened was the 2014 season when the first six race nights were completed before weather affected the action. Tonight looks to be a perfect night for 410s, 360s, and Pro Sprints action. While it is only two weeks into the season, some interesting points races are starting to emerge. Austin McCarl last week’s 410 winner, leads the points, however Davey Heskin and Brooke Tatnell are tied for 2nd place heading into tonight’s action. Brian Brown, who has had bad luck in the A-Mains is not scheduled to be at Knoxville tonight choosing to run with the World of Outlaws this weekend in Odessa, Missouri. The 360s are led by Lee Grosz, who likely will not race the full season at Knoxville, week one winner Jamie Ball is in 2nd place. Week one Pro Sprints winner Tyler Groenendyk, on the strength of two podiums, leads the early points. Listen for live coverage on KNIA and stre

Racing Season Begins Tonight at Knoxville Raceway

Tonight is Opening Night at the Knoxville Raceway with the Pella Motors/Kraig Ford Season Opener. The Raceway is not limiting the number of spectators at races this year, and will host a full schedule of events after a shortened 2020 season. Tickets are available for purchase. Marketing Director Kendra Jacobs says Opening Night is always a highlight of the season. “Our season opener is one of our biggest races of the year. Everyone is anxious to get back to the track and see their racing families once again. As per usual, we’re going to start a little earlier, so we’re looking at hot laps starting at 6:15 p.m., so make plans to come to the track a little earlier than in the summer. We’ll have a full schedule of 410 and 360 winged sprints. It’s going to be a great night of racing. Kraig Ford and Pella Motors have been partners of the track for a long time. They’ve always supported our season opener, so I know they’re ready to get going as well.”
