On Monday Night, the Indiana School Board approved the use of some of the ESSER Emergency Funding from the federal government. Most of the money will go to items that will help with educational recovery from the Covid-19 Pandemic.  Plans are to use the funding for teachers salaries, educational programs, including summer programs, and technology purposes.  After all three phases are complete, the district should still have roughly $2 million left. In other business, the board discussed the 2020-2021 budget, and board vice president Julia Trimarchi Cuccaro said that as of Monday Night, the budget had a $600,000 surplus.  She also said that projections for the next few years were pretty good, and credits Business Manager Jared Cronauer for helping keep the district on track financially.
