EVANSVILLE, Ind.  New COVID-19 infections are back up in area counties Saturday. Vanderburgh County reported 210 new cases and Warrick County logged 94 new cases.  Spencer and Perry counties each recorded two deaths Saturday. There were none reported in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey or Gibson counties. The data, found on the Indiana State Health Department s statewide dashboard of cases, brings Vanderburgh County s totals to 17,372 cases since the first one emerged on March 19 and 207 deaths since the first occurred on April 6.

No new deaths were reported Friday in Vanderburgh, Posey, Gibson and Perry counties. No new deaths were reported Thursday in Vanderburgh, Posey, Gibson, Spencer or Perry counties. Statewide, Indiana logged 7,334 new cases and 81 new deaths. The number of Hoosiers who have died from COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic is now 8,452. This week the counties were among 57 of the state s 92 counties with weekly case numbers placing them at a red level advisory. An additional eight Indiana counties with weekly case numbers in orange also remain under red-level advisories.
