Neeraj Chopra didn t get to compete at the second leg of the Indian Grand Prix at Patiala s National Institute of Sport on February 25 but that didn t mean he was any less of an attraction. NEW DELHI: The parliamentary standing committee on education, women, children, youth and sports has suggested priority Covid-19 vaccination for sportspersons and coaches who will be part of the Indian contingent for the 2021 Olympics.
A report prepared by the Vinay Shahasrabudhe-led panel ‘Preparation for Olympic Games, 2021’ was submitted to Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday.Among other key suggestions, the it has asked the government to urgently fill up large number of vacancies of coaches to train Indian athletes.
