Even as the world grieved over the one year death anniversary of Bollywood legend Rishi Kapoor on April 30, his brother Randhir was being shifted to the ICU in a Mumbai hospital after he contracted COVID-19.
The father to Bollywood stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor, had been moved to a Mumbai hospital on April 28 after he and five other members of his staff tested positive for the coronavirus.
However, a day after his hospital stay, he was shifted into the ICU, with reports claiming that his condition is currently stable and the move has been a precautionary measure keeping his age and pre-conditions in mind.

John Abraham and the team of ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ have postponed the release of their film following a surge in COVID-19 cases in India.
The Bollywood film, directed by Milap Zaveri, was scheduled to release on May 13 in time for Eid Al Fitr, with many in the industry questioning Abraham’s stance to push the film out on the same day as Salman Khan’s ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’. Khan is known to use the Eid holiday to push out his major films in the past.
However, on account of the rising cases in India, which has hit record highs this past week, the filmmakers issued a statement saying the release has been deferred, without revealing a new date.

The ‘Ram Setu’ actor has donated Rs10 million to former cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir’s foundation to help victims of the coronavirus in any capacity.

Tributes poured in Friday for popular Bollywood music composer Shravan Rathod, who died in a Mumbai hospital aged 66 after being diagnosed with COVID-19.
Rathod worked with fellow composer Nadeem Saifi to create some of Bollywood’s most enduring hits of the 1990s, with the duo winning multiple awards for their soundtracks during the decade.

He was hospitalised after contracting COVID-19 and died late Thursday, his musician son Sanjeev Rathod told the Press Trust of India.
