When the City of Boise canceled their Fourth of July Fireworks in 2020, residents took matters into their own hands with an explosive number of home displays producing breathtaking images like this and videos full of booms like this.  Boise residents who didn t stay home to watch their neighbors blow stuff up fled to places like the Meridian Speedway, Brother s Park in Caldwell or the sports complex in Star to see a professional fireworks display. The city isn t ready to make an official announcement regarding this year s fireworks display at Ann Morrison Park, but these other cities have already started rolling out information about their Fourth of July celebrations online.

Farm to Fork Farmers Market in Caldwell opens on May 18 Idaho News 6 and last updated 2021-05-06 15:53:14-04 CALDWELL, Idaho — The outdoor Farm to Fork Farmers Market in Caldwell will open on May 18 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The market will be located on Arthur and 7th Avenue as an extension of Indian Creek Plaza and will be open every Tuesday. Destination Caldwell The market was developed by Destination Caldwell as part of a community and agricultural initiative. Vegetables, free-range eggs, farm-raised beef and local artisans will be at the first market. There will also be food demonstrations showing different ways to prepare different products.

Melissa Sherman joins Destination Caldwell

Melissa Sherman Melissa Sherman joins Destination Caldwell and Indian Creek Plaza as the event manager, leading all aspects of events including planning, staffing, vendors and entertainment. She served as the seasonal event coordinator at Lovely Hollow Farm, as well leading Malheur County as the 4-H educator and County Fair organizer. She has received awards including the “Achievement in Service” from the National Association of Extension 4-H agents and the “Diversity/Inclusion” award from Oregon State University Extension Association of 4-H. She and her husband, Jason, have previously owned a livestock company. She received her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education from the University of Idaho.
