JI announces long march on March 14 as part of movement for Karachi’s rights

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman on Monday announced that the party would hold a massive march on March 14 that would start in Quaidabad and end at the Governor House.
He said the JI’s movement for the rights of Karachi aimed at resolving the issues of every citizen of Karachi, a city called mini-Pakistan where people speaking all languages of the country lived.
If Karachi developed, the whole country would develop, the JI city chief said, adding that for the development and prosperity of Karachi, the party would hold the march on March 14 and announce its future course of action at the Governor House.
JI to stage more protests as part of drive for Karachi’s rights

As part of the next phase of its campaign for the rights of Karachi and its people, the Jamaat-e-Islami has planned to organise a rally from Quaidabad to the Governor House on March 14.
This was announced by JI Karachi chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman at a press conference at Idara Noor-e-Haq, the party headquarters, on Tuesday. where he also announced a demonstration would be staged on February 28 on New MA Jinnah Road. He said that the JI’s campaign for the rights of Karachi was in full swing and it would continue till the realisation of the just rights of the residents.
‘Mere statements cannot free Kashmir from Indian occupation’

Speakers at a seminar organised by the Jamaat-e-Islami on Wednesday said that the liberation of the Indian-occupied Kashmir (IOK) can become a reality only through waging jihad.
They said that mere statements on Kashmir by Prime Minster Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will not work, and that there is a dire need to exercise might instead. The Kashmir Solidarity Seminar was held at Idara Noor-e-Haq, the JI headquarters in Karachi, in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day that is observed every year on February 5.
The speakers urged the Pakistani government to take practical measures and to impress upon the comity of nations, the United Nations and international human rights organisations to force India to honour the UN charter for resolving the IOK issue.
JI demands fresh census in Karachi

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has demanded a fresh census in Karachi to ensure due rights to the people of the city and resolution of their various problems.
Speaking at a press conference at the Idara Noor-e-Haq here on Thursday, he also demanded that the quota system be abolished and the educated youth of the city be provided their due share in jobs in the departments of the Sindh government and local bodies.
He also called for repealing the existing local bodies law and announcement for the local government elections. âWe want an empowered local government for the city,â he said. Criticising K-Electric, he demanded a forensic audit of its accounts and said it must be made to return the billions of rupees it had âstolenâ from the public and institutions.
