Meet Newt, a very smart, very unusual Husky, Corgy mix who is up for adoption at the Rancho Coastal Human Society. Newt is 3-1/2 year old, 30 pound, female, who was transferred from a crowded shelter in Riverside County.
If you just see her face, she looks like a Husky. But she has short, Corgi legs. She loves attention, cuddling and fetching her squeaky toys. Newt is smart and easily responds to these commands: Sit, Turn around, Wait, Stay, Come here, and Lay Down.” She does need work on not pulling on a leash, though.
Newt lived with cats and livestock (horses, etc.), but her family was having another baby and didn’t have time for her.

Now THIS is a good hack. A guy helped a friend build a fence, but wanted to hang around a while longer and do nothing.
