The pandemic hastened life sciences companiesâ digital transformation efforts, long deemed to be slow. But given the scale of change underway, it is clear that the industry is looking to embed digital technologies to drive holistic change in work.
The pressure exerted by the pandemic made life sciences companies realize the transformative effect of digital. And now they are deploying artificial intelligence (AI), automation, Internet of Things (IoT) and data analytics to augment mundane human work to drive decisions and innovation.
Since the start of 2020, the industrial, as well as manufacturing sections, have been rolling from the impacts of the COVID-19 crisis. Factories fought to handle production because of forced lockdowns, strict safety regulations and the consequent shortage of workforce.
Amazon has announced that as of June 8, all the company’s devices in the United States will automatically connect with each other, forming a vast wireless mesh network via Bluetooth and radio signals in the 900MHz band, to create Amazon Sidewalk, its IoT service provider.
