BRIDGEPORT, CT A former state senator was critically injured in a motor vehicle crash Sunday evening, according to police. Edwin Gomes, 84, sustained serious injuries in the wreck on Boston Avenue.
Another driver, Clive Henry, 19, of Bridgeport, sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the wreck.
Emergency services received a call at 6:53 p.m. regarding a two-car crash at the intersection of Boston Avenue and Noble Avenue, according to police.

Henry was driving a red 2002 Acura RSX was traveling westbound on Boston Avenue approaching the intersection with Noble Avenue as a gray 2010 Ford Fusion driven by Gomes was traveling eastbound on Boston Avenue.

LONG ISLAND, NY Long Island housing prices hit new highs in November as the market continued its striking rebound from the shutdowns earlier this year.
According to One Key Multiple Listing Service, home prices in Nassau and Suffolk counties hit new highs in November, continuing a trend since the summer as the local real estate market rebounds from the shutdowns in the spring. From November 2019 to 2020, the median sales price on Long Island jumped 14.7 percent. The number of homes sold also jumped dramatically.
