LEBANON Jack Stone had a team-high 15 points as the Lebanon High boys basketball team held on for a 52-41 victory over Keene on Friday night at Lang Metcalf Gym.
Stone scored 10 points in the opening two quarters, and Lebanon received strong play off the bench Logan Sanchez and Cam Davio. The Raiders led, 32-14, at the half thanks to the fast start and looked ready to pull away from the visitors in the second half.
The NHIAA Division I Blackbirds, however, had different plans.
Keene (1-1) employed a full-court press for most of the game, and it started to cause havoc in the third quarter. Lebanon, a D-II squad, struggled to solve it at times and didn’t play at its own pace, letting the Blackbirds cut the deficit to 40-26 entering the final frame.

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) â The Harrison County Commission on Wednesday will discuss a property agreement for a medical cannabis facility, the upcoming appointment of a new county clerk and appointments to boards in what is expected to be a short meeting before the New Year.
Last month, the Harrison County Development Authority approved a site development agreement with Harvest Care Medical LLC that would allow for the transfer of property near the North Central West Virginia Airport in exchange for development work at the site of the companyâs planned state-of-the-art medical cannabis and processing plant.
Under the agreement approved by the Development Authority, Harvest Care Medical will perform site development work, including demolition of an old house, installation of utilities and construction of an access road at a price tag of around $8-10 million, Harrison County Commissioner David Hinkle has said.
Darlington ended 2020 in style by hitting bottom-of-the-table Blyth Spartans for six. They made light work of a team heading for relegation, leading 2-0 with only quarter of an hour gone and could have won by a greater margin, but there will be no complaints after this rout. The goals were shared by five players: Erico Sousa, Adam Campbell, Jarrett Rivers, Tyrone O’Neill (2) and Dan Maguire as Quakers recorded a long-awaited home league win. Not since January had they taken the points on home soil, but this win was not in doubt from the moment Sousa struck after ten minutes, and thereafter it was a matter of how many Alun Armstrong’s men would score.
