District 11 - St. Cloud area
CO (Conservation Officer) Keith Bertram (Long Prairie) checked an angler using too many lines. The angler told Bertram he was switching lines and never pulled up the first two. His excuse was he became distracted trying to find a date using Match.com on his phone.

District 10 - Mille Lacs area
CO Victoria Griffith (Isle) monitored snowmobile, ATV, and angling activity on Mille Lacs Lake. Anglers reported fishing to be slower over the weekend, with the night bite picking up. Enforcement action was taken for angling without a license, fishing with extra lines, and no shelter tag. Griffith would like to remind anglers to clean up their area and pick up garbage before leaving the ice.
CO Dan Starr (Onamia) worked fishing, snowmobile, and trapping activities. A dispute over plowed road areas on the lake was addressed and continues to be monitored. Violations for no fishing license, no snowmobile registration, lack of safety training, and no fish house license were found. A reminder to wheelhouse anglers: Clean up the area around your wheelhouse before you

District 4 - Walker area
CO (Conservation Officer) Jordan Anderson (Wadena) primarily spent time on fishing and trapping activity. Lakes continue to be busy with a mixed bag of success. With all the activity, a lot of garbage has been seen left on area lakes. Clean up after yourselves!
CO Randy Posner (Staples) worked on fishing enforcement this past week. The sunfish, crappies and bass have been the most productive for anglers on area lakes. He worked on snowmobiling enforcement issues this past week as well. Violations observed were no fishing license and expired registration on snowmobiles. Complaints of deer-carcass dumping on state land and litter on area lakes were received. He spent time inspecting aerators on area lakes.
