Gardaí have arrested and charged a man in relation to seven incidents of burglary, theft from cars and trespassing in Thurles, Co Tipperary on May 8th.
In the early hours of Saturday morning Gardaí received reports of a burglary and three thefts from cars in the Mitchel Street and Sli Na Suire areas in Thurles Town. Unsuccessful attempts had also been made to break into three houses in the area.
Items stolen during the incidents included cash and mobile phones.
Following an investigation by Gardaí from the Thurles Detective Unit, a search at an apartment in Co. Tipperary was carried out on May 10 resulting in the recovery of some of the suspected stolen property.

The HSE said that it would take three weeks to administer first dose vaccines to 65 to 69-year-olds and a further three weeks for the 60 to 64-year-olds, but that they will all be done by the end of May.
Meanwhile, the first of four new temporary walk-in Covid-19 test centres will open later this morning in Dublin.
The new centres are opening between now and Sunday.
Three are in Dublin - at Parnell s GAA Club on Main Street in Coolock opening today, St Catherine s Community Sports Centre in the Liberties from tomorrow, and Tallaght Stadium from Sunday.

But the faithful are “impatient to be liberated from the restrictions which we find so difficult,” he stressed and noted catholics’ “sadness and our grief at not being able to come together to share the Eucharist”.
Dr Farrell said that as “the efforts of our people and their patience in the face of onerous restrictions produce reduced rates of infection”, and as vaccination levels rise to increase the level of protection achieved, “we expect that the public authorities will apply a human rights framework in setting priorities for the resumption of basic human activity”.
His comments indicate increasing frustration among the Irish bishops at the Government’s ongoing restrictions on public worship which has left churches shut for the past six months, with the exception a short respite over Christmas.
