Palm Beach County Vice Mayor Robert Weinroth confirms the county s COVID Compliance Team, which went out to make sure businesses were following local pandemic-related orders, is no longer active.
That s because local governments in Florida are not allowed to impose emergency orders related to the pandemic.
Weinroth said that after more than 14 months of the pandemic, residents want to have the county off their back and make their own decisions about their welfare. He also said people can do it reasonably.
